Overview
There are 5 order processing options available on the ExpertVoice platform for brands who have an ExpertVoice hosted store. For a brief overview of each method and what would be the best option for you, based on your capabilities, see below.
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
EDI automates order processing; it requires the least overhead and is the most efficient. This is a good option for brands with large order volumes that might not have the resources to process orders manually. An EDI integration requires you to have an existing EDI connection (SPS, TrueCommerce, etc). EDI is a good option for brands with large order volumes that might not have the resources to process orders manually.
TrueCommerce Shopify integration
Process your orders with one system by connecting ExpertVoice with your Shopify fulfillment system. Brands using Shopify with large order volumes or that have a higher average order value can benefit from this option. This allows you to continue using the Shopify order processing you already have in place.

Integration Lite (import/export)*
Integration Lite is used to process orders in bulk by utilizing ExpertVoice’s Admin portal. This solution is best for brands that lack EDI capabilities but also have an order volume large enough that manual processing requires too much overhead. The brand is responsible for exporting orders from the ExpertVoice Admin in batches and proceeds to process orders in their own system per the brand's usual fulfillment methods. The brand will then import order information (shipping info, quantity shipped) back into the ExpertVoice admin using a basic CSV file.
Integration Lite (export only)*
Integration Lite (export only) supports brands that have complex or custom shipping charges or extended lead times that prevent them from finalizing orders in bulk via an import but can import bulk orders into their system via a spreadsheet. Integration Lite (export only) is used to authorize credit cards in bulk by utilizing ExpertVoice’s Admin portal. As a brand, you are required to export orders in batches and then proceed to process them (ship and capture payment) individually through the Admin portal.
Manual*
The manual method supports brands with low order volume (<10 orders a week), where manually processing orders directly in admin is quicker than constructing/uploading spreadsheets. It can also be a good option for customized or made-to-order products where a brand wants to closely monitor each individual order placed. This option requires the processing of orders on an order-by-order basis using the ExpertVoice Admin system.
FFL (Federal Firearms License)*
The FFL, or Federal Firearms License order processing method applies to brands selling firearms. Firearms manufacturers and dealers must have a Federal Firearms License to sell/transfer firearms. For online purchases, the firearm must be shipped between FFLs (e.g. from the manufacturer to a local dealer). ExpertVoice will collect the receiving dealer’s FFL certificate during checkout, for a brand to verify & download from ExpertVoice Admin when processing orders.
FFL orders will generally be manually processed in the ExpertVoice Admin, however, we can support both Integration Lite, as well as EDI, for transferring order data into a client’s order fulfillment system. (FFL Certificates must still be manually downloaded from ExpertVoice Admin.)
*Note: These methods require manual steps from the brand to process orders.
