Returns process (updated April 2025)
In April 2025, we introduced a new returns process powered by aftership to make returns easier, faster, and more transparent for both experts and brands. This automated process eliminates the need for your team to manually mark returns as complete in Admin or issue refunds.
How it works
- The expert requests a return via their Order History.
- ExpertVoice reviews and requests an RMA from the brand.
- Once the RMA is issued, ExpertVoice processes the return using aftership.
- The expert receives a return label from ExpertVoice and ships the product back to the brand.
- ExpertVoice automates the refund based on tracking information — the brand is not required to mark the return as complete in Admin.
In rare cases where the returned items don’t qualify for a refund or products are missing, the brand can contact the ExpertVoice Support team to request an adjustment, ensuring appropriate remittance.
The goal of this process is to help experts easily request returns, receive timely refunds, and reduce the manual burden on brand teams.
Return shipping costs
By default, return shipping costs are deducted from the expert’s refund.
If an item was mis-shipped or damaged in transit, the Expert Success team may determine that the brand should cover return shipping — this is handled on a case-by-case basis.
