Overview
If you have all of the components—like lessons and incentives—necessary on hand to create your campaign, start in Campaigns using the instructions below.
Otherwise, we recommend creating the individual components of your campaign first in the respective Libraries.
Tip: You can always create a new audience, lesson or incentive at the same time as creating a new campaign, but you might find it more convenient to create the individual components first and assemble them in your new campaign. |
Create a campaign in the Campaign Manager
- Visit the Campaign Manager in the Advocacy Platform
- Click Create New Campaign in the top right-hand corner to expand the drop-down menu of available campaign types
- Select a campaign type and then give it a unique campaign name
- This name is not expert-facing, but we recommend making the name easy for you and others on your team to be able to search for and find it later (e.g., Spring 2023 Product Line)
-
Each campaign has specific step-by-step instructions to guide you through building and publishing a campaign within the Advocacy Platform to your target audience on ExpertVoice
-
You can work ahead in different steps, but remember to save each step along the way
- You may come back and edit the campaign components at any time
- Each campaign type will require different steps and components

Preview a campaign
It is important to review your campaign in its entirety before it goes live on ExpertVoice to ensure there are no typos or grammatical errors and that any uploaded media works properly. You can preview a campaign before it goes live to a target audience on ExpertVoice through a custom preview link that can be found within the Advocacy Platform's Campaign Manager.
If you'd like to have someone else at your organization review the campaign for quality assurance purposes, share your custom preview link with them, but the individual must have ExpertVoice access in order to preview it on the platform.
Education and/or Seeding Campaigns
When configuring one of these campaign types in the Advocacy Platform, you can preview how the expert-facing campaign landing page will look on ExpertVoice using the below instructions.
- Click the Availability step, scroll down to the Preview Campaign prompt, and click Preview the expert experience.
- Or visit the Campaign Manager and click the three dots on the campaign tile to preview it.
Survey

Start, stop or restart a campaign
Ending a campaign will prevent target experts from engaging with it further and stop it from showing on ExpertVoice.
Follow these steps to start, stop or restart a campaign.
Note: Campaigns created by ExpertVoice Studios cannot be stopped in the Advocacy Platform. Please contact your Customer Success partner if you would like ExpertVoice Studios to stop or update your campaign.
Duplicate a campaign
At this time, there is no ability to duplicate a campaign that you create in the Advocacy Platform or that ExpertVoice Studios creates for you.
Instead, you can create a new campaign and use any combination of new or existing lessons, incentives, and/or audiences for the new campaign.
Note: In the Libraries feature of the Advocacy Platform, you may duplicate lessons, incentives, and/or audiences that you create. However, you may not duplicate any campaigns, lessons, incentives, or audiences created by ExpertVoice Studios.
Archive a campaign
It's important to regularly audit your list of Current Campaigns to ensure the campaigns still meet your broader company goals and advocacy marketing program objectives. If a campaign is not relevant for you anymore, you can archive it.
- Visit the Campaign Manager in the Advocacy Platform
-
Search and filter to find the campaign you wish to archive
-
Click the three dots on the right side of the campaign to expand the options menu and click Archive
Archiving a campaign removes it from your view in the Current Campaigns tab and puts it in the Archived Campaigns tab in case you need it again. Any engagement data for the campaign is preserved, but you will have to unarchive the campaign to review it.
Running campaigns cannot be archived. Stop the campaign first in order to archive it.
Note: Campaigns created by ExpertVoice Studios cannot be archived in the Advocacy Platform. Please reach out to your Customer Success partner if you would like ExpertVoice Studios to archive your campaign.
Unarchive a campaign
If a previously archived campaign that you created is relevant to you again, you can unarchive it. The unarchive action means you will extract a previously archived lesson from the digital archive.
-
Visit the Campaign Manager in the Advocacy Platform
- Click the Archived Campaigns tab where the campaign you would like to unarchive is saved
- Click the three dots on the right side of the campaign to expand the options menu and click Unarchive
Delete a campaign from the Advocacy Platform
You cannot delete a campaign from the Advocacy Platform. Instead, consider archiving the campaign if it is no longer running or relevant to your brand.
