Note: This article only applies to brands participating in ExpertVoice's pilot program. Participating brands provided their dealer list, and their sales reps were permitted to access the beta feature.
As a trusted sales representative at your organization, you're tasked with educating retail sales associates in the field, getting products into their hands, and boosting in-store sales. With the Refer an Expert feature currently in beta on ExpertVoice, you can quickly refer retail sales associates to your organization's ExpertVoice program and track your referrals. Follow the instructions below to learn how it works.
Create an account

Sign up for ExpertVoice if you are not a current or active member

Insert your First Name, Last Name, Work Email Address (this should be associated with your organization), and Password, and click Join Now

Select at least three (3) things you're passionate about on the screen prompt; insert where you currently live (City and State/Province) and year of birth (YYYY)

Click Add a Team, and then select Find Your Organization

Type in your organization name (e.g., Vionic) and select the correct team (e.g., Vionic Employees)
- Insert your work email address and click Proceed to verification

- Check your email and click Verify Your Email (learn more here)

Once you're a member, follow the steps below to refer people to ExpertVoice

Refer an expert
You can refer qualified individuals, such as retail sales associates, to ExpertVoice from the app or web browser, depending on the type of device you prefer to carry into retailers.
The app (iOS and Android)
Best for cell phones and tablets (e.g., iPads)
- Log into the ExpertVoice app
- Swipe on the pills on the top of the screen and tap Refer an Expert
- Tap Rep referral beneath the QR code and select your organization name (e.g., Vionic)
- Click the back arrow, or it will automatically take you back to the previous screen
- Tap Suggest a team and select Find a Team
- Type in the retailer name that you plan to visit or are currently at (e.g., Nordstrom)
- It may take a few seconds to populate as it searches the ExpertVoice network
- All relevant retailers will automatically populate the search results
- Multiple retailer names may appear, ranked from high to low (the retailer with the most members on ExpertVoice to the least amount); the goal is to grow this number through your referrals!

Select the correct retailer from the list (e.g., Nordstrom Retail Employees)

If you are unsure which retailer, the retailer may still need to be added to the ExpertVoice network. Please contact ExpertVoice to add the retailer using this support article if this happens.

- A QR code specific to the retailer will automatically appear in the app

This QR code can be scanned one or more times by one or more individuals

The link expires within 15 days to prevent fraud, and if you exit the app, you will need to complete the above steps to generate the QR code again

- Ask retail sales associate(s) to scan the QR code
- They will then be prompted to sign up or sign in to ExpertVoice and verify their store location.
- For this step, users must sign up or sign in to ExpertVoice via a web browser; expedited onboarding is currently unavailable on the ExpertVoice app.
- Employees must be within a 15-mile radius of their store location and can then select the correct location when signing up.
- They will then be prompted to sign up or sign in to ExpertVoice and verify their store location.
- You can also share your custom referral link via email, text, or other method.
Tip: When scanned, the QR code will take the individual to expedited onboarding that allows them to access ExpertVoice immediately; however, they must submit their proof of employment within 45 days.

- Log into ExpertVoice
- Click Me in the top right-hand corner of the page and select the Refer an Expert button
- Tap Rep referral and select your organization name (e.g., Vionic) if it is not already pre-populated
- Next, click Find team
- Type in the retailer name that you plan to visit or are currently at (e.g., Nordstrom)
- It may take a few seconds to populate as it searches the ExpertVoice network
- All relevant retailers will automatically populate the search results
- Multiple retailer names may appear, ranked from high to low (the retailer with the most members on ExpertVoice to the least amount); the goal is to grow this number through your referrals!

- You can also click Copy to share your custom referral link or insert an email address, such as a Store Manager's email address, to send a direct referral link

Track your referrals

- Swipe on the pills on the top of the screen and tap Refer an Expert
- Scroll down to view Your referrals beneath the QR code and see a summary of the referrals you submitted overtime and their status (invited or joined)
- Tap Follow next to their name to friend the expert you referred (optional)

Best for laptops or tablets (e.g., iPads or Microsoft Surfaces)
- Log into the ExpertVoice app
- Click Me in the top right-hand corner of the page and select the Refer an Expert button
- Scroll down to Your referrals to see a summary of the referrals you submitted overtime and their status (pending or joined)
- Click Follow next to their name to friend the expert you referred (optional)
